Harvey and Little Building Services is known for its successful project management of property and building schemes, large and small. We use leading edge techniques and processes to clarify, define and articulate project objectives before developing a clear path for delivery.

CONSULTATION

We as Project Managers like to sit with our Clients, at the outset initially discussing their reasons for extending, in order to understand their aims & objectives. As a fresh pair of eyes, we like to share our experience with layouts, positions of key features and services, so as to maximise the potential of homes and especially budgets.

It is imperative to look to the future to ensure tomorrows needs are fulfilled, to optimise your space and maximise usability.

BRIEF

Once we have agreed a scope of works, we can provide a clear and concise brief for an Architect for the production of drawings. At this stage we can also involve Planners and have provisional discussions, to ensure the required scheme is approved without unnecessary delays.

BUDGET

Unless you are a trained Quantity Surveyor, formulating a budget can be as crude as asking friends, finger in the air or simply guessing. In the first instance, we will provide outline costs with various options, to enable our Clients to make valued judgements as to their scheme and budget.

SCHEDULE OF WORKS

With a thorough understanding of construction options, materials and suppliers. We are able to suggest specifications, which may not have been previously considered and yet will not have any detrimental effect upon aesthetics and finishes. From this we can produce a fully detailed schedule of works comprising, foundations/concrete slab, brickwork finishes, attic truss v conventional trussed roof construction, dry lining v traditional plastering, joinery options, traditional bathroom/shower rooms v wet rooms, manufactured kitchens v bespoke kitchens, all of which have pros and cons and each comes at a cost.

 


PROGRAMME

Once we have agreed the budget we can draw up a critical path programme indicating all key stages for approvals, sign offs and manufacturing lead ins. This ensures our Clients are included and not detached from their project.
